Review: Madonna - Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj)
I was sceptical of Luvin’, simply because previous collaborations, namely those with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, have produced songs as messy and hard to bear as Lourdes’ eyebrows.
Review: One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful
I can’t help buy find myself tapping my toes despite all the comically cheesy excess. That said, when I watch the music video along with the song, I find myself laughing at it at several points. Because with boy bands comes all the wonderfully gay subtext, and this video is chock full of it. All it amounts to is the five of them frolicking around a beach in tight shirts – or no shirts. A group of five nubile, handsome boys in various states of dress and undress cavorting on an empty beach: One Direction music video, or British Boys of Fire Island 14? You decide.
Hey here’s a link to a thing I wrote share and enjoy!
Review of Justin Bieber's new single 'Mistletoe'
Justin Bieber is really interesting because outside of Lady Gaga he has the most cultivated image in pop music. And when I make fun of people, I at least like to do it with context. That said, he is a dumb little boy who is now growing up without any real perception of the world so at least Gaga has that on him. They share a lot of similarities which I explore in the post. I also regret not making the joke I had about him eventually knocking up Miley Cyrus because of the whole paternity thing that just sprung up. Please read and reblog if you enjoy this! It’s all I have!
Review: Hot Chelle Rae - Tonight Tonight
There are just too many things I hate about this band.
You can learn all you need to know about the band in a few ways:
- That name, that sounds like the name of the soup of the day at a dingy seafood restaurant that will inevitably give you food poisoning.
- The story of their name, that indicates that they think Hot Chelle Rae doesn’t just sound like the most poorly conceived nail polish colour.
- The following sentence – both its composition and content – from their Wikipedia page: “Hot Chelle Rae recently performed on a episode of So Random.”
- Their next album will be named ‘Whatever’. Like, you know, ‘Whatever’.
- Finally, and most importantly, their public image. This part deserves more than just its own number in a list, because there’s a hell of a lot to cover.
my 'party rock anthem' review
has started getting like, 20 hits a day just from people googling ‘lmfao’. or well, since wordpress doesn’t specify which search engine, searching lmfao. i can’t figure out how or why though? it’s been viewed about 100 times in the last week or so which is kinda odd since that’s about as much as it got in two months when i first posted it. i’ve looked over google but i can’t find it in the results. it’s a mystery
Review: Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (ft. Christina Aguilera
I think it’s worth addressing here the overwhelming, uncompromising unsexiness of Mick Jagger. I mean, really. Even in his heyday the man looked like a bizarre alien-human hybrid of questionable gender and, as we all know, now looks like a a gypsy’s shrunken head. Like Skeletor crossed with Billy Ray Cyrus crossed with Kate Moss. Like Aron Ralston if he had never cut off his arm and stayed there to die. Like someone whose own face is violently rejecting their hair. There is so very little sexy about this man that, on a list of World’s Sexiest Frontmen, I’d place him several places below 1980s Cher.
My Review of Jason Derulo's latest single 'Don't Wanna Go Home'
Not only don’t he wanna go home, he don’t wanna write an original song.
