The Interpipes Are Leaking of the Day: The Annoying Orange, one of the most successful web series of all time, is making the leap from the small screen to the other small screen.
Cartoon Network has purchased the rights to adapt Dane Boedigheimer’s popular YouTube channel for television. The half-hour series was co-created by Pinky and the Brain writer Tom Sheppard, and revolves around the time-traveling misadventures of the titular Orange and his fruity friends.
“The Annoying Orange and Cartoon Network were just meant to be squeezed together,” CN’s chief content officer, Rob Sorcher, said in a statement.
Good one.
